Instrument Monitoring — Press the Right Letter
At the start of the test each gauge is assigned a letter (e.g. left V, top I, right H). When a gauge enters the red zone, you press that gauge's letter. In the demo the autopilot presses the correct letter and you see the CORRECT feedback.

IPP (Information Processing Performance) is the psychometric assessment used by Pegasus Airlines in its cadet pilot selection process. It measures your capacity to perceive and process information together with your attention and reaction time. The test takes about 10 minutes in total.
What is the CASE test and how does IPP fit in?
CASE is the name of the psychometric test battery Pegasus Airlines applies to pilot candidates — the Pegasus counterpart of THY’s PACE battery. IPP is one of the modules within it. This page prepares you for the IPP module; the other modules in the battery are listed in the Pegasus CASE modules section below.
How many parts does the IPP test have?
It consists of two main tasks: the Instrument Monitoring Task and the Arithmetic Task. The first measures continuous attention and perception speed, the second mental arithmetic and processing speed.
How does the Instrument Monitoring Task work?
At the start of the test each gauge is assigned a letter (for example left gauge V, top gauge I, right gauge H). When one of the gauges enters the red zone you must press the letter belonging to that gauge. Letter assignments can change during the test; when you press a wrong letter the system reports the error and shows the current assignments on screen.
Is the Arithmetic Task difficult? Is advanced maths required?
No advanced maths is required. Basic arithmetic and quick adaptation to the given rule are enough. A green starting number and a calculation rule appear on screen; the rule is applied to every new incoming number and the answer is entered on the numpad.
What are the calculation rules?
Series revolve around four rules: add the incoming numbers, subtract the incoming numbers, add double of the incoming numbers, and subtract double of them. When a series is completed a new rule is defined.
What happens if I give a wrong answer?
The system shows the correct result and tells you which number to continue from. A single mistake therefore does not ruin the whole series; what matters is continuing at the same rhythm without panicking.
Which matters more, accuracy or speed?
Both matter. The assessment takes into account not only the number of correct answers but also your reaction time.
