PEGASUS CASE
Cube Rotation Test

Prepare specifically for the Cube Rotation module of the CASE test battery Pegasus Airlines uses to assess pilot candidates. Track a cube’s marked face through the FRONT · BACK · RIGHT · LEFT commands shown on screen, then work out where that face ended up — at the pace of a 30-level exam.

How it works

One face of the cube is marked and you are told its starting position. Commands then appear on screen one at a time: FRONT · BACK · RIGHT · LEFT. The cube itself never moves — you do the tipping in your head. When the sequence ends you pick which of the six positions the marked face is in. Try it with the module’s own Start button — no sign-up needed.

Module logic

One cube.
Four commands.

One face of the cube is marked and its starting position is given. Commands appear on screen one at a time: FRONT · BACK · RIGHT · LEFT. The cube only tips over its edges — it never spins about the vertical axis. Where the mark goes next depends on which position it is in at that moment.

STAGE 01

Track — Follow the Marked Face Command by Command

When the mark sits on TOP, commands apply directly: FRONT sends it to FRONT, RIGHT sends it to RIGHT. On BOTTOM the same commands work in reverse. On a side face, half of the commands do not move it at all — on FRONT/BACK the right-left commands are inert, on RIGHT/LEFT the front-back ones are.

What it measures

Thirty levels.
One score.

Cube Rotation does not only score the right answer. Holding the command sequence, turning the cube in your head and keeping that up as the display time shortens are assessed together; the score combines accuracy and speed.

01 / MENTAL ROTATION

The cube stays still; you turn it.

All the tipping happens in your head — nothing rotates on screen.

02 / WORKING MEMORY

7–15 commands, one chain.

You carry the sequence from start to finish — no notes allowed.

03 / DISPLAY TIME

From 2.5 seconds down to 1.

The harder the level, the less time each command stays on screen.

04 / ENDURANCE

30 levels, no drop in pace.

You are expected to hold the same accuracy through the final levels despite fatigue.

Every Cube Rotation session you finish is broken down automatically. See more than the right–wrong ratio: where you slowed down, how your solve time moved across the session, and whether you held your accuracy as the levels got harder.

Solve time per level, plus the session average and your fastest solve.

02

Accuracy and error behaviour

Right–wrong ratio and where errors cluster; whether accuracy drops on longer command sequences.

What is the Cube Rotation test?

Cube Rotation is a spatial orientation test that asks you to work out, purely in your head, where a cube’s marked face ends up after a sequence of commands. The cube never moves on screen; you do the tipping mentally. What it measures is 3D mental rotation and your ability to hold it under time pressure.

What is the CASE test and how does Cube Rotation fit in?

CASE is the name of the psychometric test battery Pegasus Airlines applies to pilot candidates. Cube Rotation is one of the spatial orientation modules within it. This page prepares you for the Cube Rotation module; the other modules are listed in the Pegasus CASE modules section below.

How are the commands delivered?

Commands appear on screen as text, one at a time: FRONT, BACK, RIGHT and LEFT. Each command stays up for a limited time, and that time shrinks as the levels get harder — 2.5 seconds on the easy band, 1.75 seconds on medium and 1 second on hard.

How many levels are there and how does difficulty scale?

There are 30 levels in total. Levels 1-10 are the easy band with 7-10 commands; levels 11-20 raise it to 9-13 commands; levels 21-30 reach 10-15. Exam mode runs all 30 levels in order.

Can I use my hand or a piece of paper to turn the cube?

No. What the task measures is precisely the ability to rotate it mentally without that help. Using hand gestures, paper or a physical cube builds the wrong habit and will not survive real exam pace.

Which positions can the marked face be in?

Six: TOP, BOTTOM, FRONT, BACK, RIGHT and LEFT. The cube only tips over its edges — it rotates about the horizontal axes and never spins with its base on the ground. That keeps the path of the mark inside a predictable pattern.

Can I see the solution when I get one wrong?

Yes. With Feedback Mode on, a wrong answer triggers a step-by-step replay: the cube rotates in 3D, the marked face is highlighted at each step and the command strip shows which tip was applied. That is how you find the command where your error started.

What skills does Cube Rotation measure?

3D mental rotation, spatial awareness, visual working memory, attention and concentration, sound decision-making under time pressure, and exam endurance — assessed together.

Is there statistics and performance tracking?

Yes. At the end of a session you get total games and questions, right–wrong ratio, average and fastest solve times, performance consistency and progress charts, plus a personalised study suggestion.

Is there a sample / practice run for the Pegasus psychometric test?

The interactive demo on this page is the module itself — you can try it without signing up. PRO access then unlocks all 30 levels, exam mode and the performance report.

How do I get access after purchase?

After payment the module is added to your account and opens straight from your course page. Access lasts 30, 90 or 365 days depending on the plan you choose.

Is CADETPRO an official airline product?

No. CADETPRO is an independent preparation platform with no affiliation, partnership or endorsement from any airline. Airline and test names on this page are used only in a preparation context, to indicate which exam is being studied for. No guarantee of passing or being hired is given.
