When the mark sits on TOP, commands apply directly: FRONT sends it to FRONT, RIGHT sends it to RIGHT. On BOTTOM the same commands work in reverse. On a side face, half of the commands do not move it at all — on FRONT/BACK the right-left commands are inert, on RIGHT/LEFT the front-back ones are.

Cube Rotation is a spatial orientation test that asks you to work out, purely in your head, where a cube’s marked face ends up after a sequence of commands.
