A short sum appears with its answer written in and every digit left blank. Fill the blanks with the digits 1 to 9, each used once, so both sides are equal — and remember that multiplication comes first. The test is ten questions in five minutes, with no feedback until the end.

Each question is a sum such as □ + (□ × □) = 34. Fill every box with a digit from 1 to 9; no digit may be used twice and there is no zero. Enter digits on the pad or with the keyboard — the pad greys out digits already placed.
Digit Challenge measures numerical reasoning: estimating, testing and adjusting candidate digits quickly while keeping track of which ones are already used.
The useful method is to estimate first — which product could get near the target? — and only then fill the small digits. Trial and error without an estimate runs out of time on the later shapes.
